About J.D. McGillicuddy’s

Since the late 90’s, J.D. McGillicuddy’s is a great place to watch the game, have a delicious lunch or dinner, listen to live music, and order catering for your next big event.

The Challenge

The owners of J.D. McGillicuddy’s needed a website redesign. Their site is used to promote the Havertown and Kirklyn locations in South Eastern PA, and needed to feature current events happening at both locations, updated contact forms, new catering menus, new pub menus that need to be updated periodically, drink specials, online ordering for their catering and school lunch services. in addition, local Catholic Schools no longer had a lunch program, and J.D. McGillicuddy’s has an opportunity to make the lunches for the schools, but they needed their site to be an online store for the parents to order their student’s lunches each month.

The Solution

I worked with the staff at McGillicuddy’s to transform their site into an online store that allows clients to contact the different locations to book an event and to have the option to schedule and pay for a catering order or to call one in. I also added email marketing into their registration forms for connecting with customers to come back and order again, and create graphics for their social media marketing. Then, we set up an online store for people to order catering, or for parents that want to order for with students with a custom checkout form. custom ordering fields that populate with the students name their menu is live on the site, and an email marketing platform for the staff to let parents, teachers, and staff know about the new menu live online / advertise to subscribers.
